Lecturer in Computer Science
University of Exeter
I am a Lecturer (or Assistant Professor, depending on where you come from) in Computer Science at the University of Exeter, a research associate at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, Computational Social Science Theme Lead at the Exeter Institute for Data Science and AI, and director of the CC Lab. I am also a science communicator, having written for Science, HuffPost Brazil, The Conversation, and produced over 50 videos for YouTube.
My research interests cover the intersection of computational social science, complex systems, communication, data science, cultural evolution, cultural sociology, and information theory. In summary, I develop new computational methods to study the evolution of information.
